Why Palladium is so special
Interestingly, Palladium itself has been used as a precious metal in jewelry since 1939. Palladium is a rare, yet popular alternative to Platinum and White Gold due to it's naturally white properties and it's unneeded rhodium plating. A member of the Platinum group, Palladium will develop a hazy patina over time (just like Platinum). One of the three most popular metals used in making fine jewelry,Palladium seldom causes allergic reactions and is therefore hypoallergenic unlike white gold.
Amazingly, just a few years ago Palladium was more expensive than platinum. Recently, obstacles have been overcome in the technology of casting, making Palladium prices just below that of Platinum allowing us to offer this wonderful precious metal at very reasonable prices.
